Cholesterol after Christmas in the Clouds

Physicians ensure that between December 15 and January 15 extends what is known as “the month of cardiovascular risk.” Or put another way, Christmas, with all the excesses, dinners, cups, skip heavy meals and healthy diet, are a huge problem for our cardiovascular health.
And so, after Christmas is when we realize the aesthetic consequences that have occurred in the form of weight gain because of the massive intake of fatty foods and sweets and we enter the rush to point us to the gym and get to diets fast. But that is not as important or more dangerous.

According to the Spanish Society of Arteriosclerosis (SEA), the Christmas excesses can cause a prolonged increase in cholesterol. We must not forget the importance of having a clean arteries, since “they are the roads that the blood flows to the heart.”

The risk is caused by the narrowing of the arteries from atherosclerosis-build-a result of an increase in bad cholesterol (LDL). To avoid this, the president of the SEA believes that “it is vitally important regular screenings and reduce cholesterol levels when they are high.”
Therefore another recommendation after the excesses is to control not only weight, cholesterol too bad we can have more of a problem.
