Care of Diet For Diabetics
Diabetes is a chronic disease, a metabolic disorder. Metabolism is the process by which you, the body converts ingested food into energy, creating glucose, which enters the bloodstream and then to the cells using insulin. In diabetes, insulin production is insufficient or the body’s cells do not respond to it.
Diabetes can cause ocular complications, renal and nervous, but also cardiovascular disease (atherosclerosis or stroke). Treatment of diabetes requires an increase in physical activity, improved food quality with a diabetic diet and control of glucose levels.
Proper diet for diabetics:
The diabetic diet includes foods from all food groups: vegetables, cereals, fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy. Must be attractive and tasty diet to make it easier to enforce.
Fiber are recommended, especially soluble (legumes, oats, bran, fruit pulp and vegetables) helps absorb glucose more slowly, lowering the blood cholesterol level. Should incorporate more fruits and vegetables and whole grains instead of refined.
Sugar: It is better to avoid sugar, sweets, candy, etc.. Because rapidly rising level of blood glucose, providing lots of calories, simple carbohydrates provide few nutrients. Recommended Light food and drinks that contain sweeteners instead of sugar.
