the most serious risk of depression is suicide, the last resort of someone who finds life unbearable. disease in rare cases a person can unbalance the mind of many who feel compelled to kill others and themselves, to avoid the agony of being alive. although they are very common in all age groups including young people, depression and suicide are particular problems of the elderly and sometimes may seem to be confused with depression and senility. This confusion is particularly unfortunate because depression is often reversible. therefore, an elderly man believed to be depressed dementia and not receiving treatment for depression.

What should be done?
if you recognize the symptoms of depressive illness more and more (not just in passing, sadness) in you, see a doctor. not ashamed to tell him or her about your fears. if you recognize the symptoms to other people, trying to persuade them to accept medical help.
